The Shield Project
The Shield Project was a not-for-profit initiative that provided much needed PPE to the medical community while supporting Illinois-based artists, creatives, and filmmakers.
With the rapid spread of COVID-19 and the immediate shutdown of all film and commercial production, we found ourselves and many of our filmmaking friends suddenly out of work.
Simultaneously, we were watching the need for PPE and medical support grow, and decided to do something about it. Thus, The Shield Project was born in March of 2020 and supported care professionals and artists throughout the early stages of the pandemic.
